It is the Day of the Dead! Also known in Spanish: Día de los Muertos.
You stumble upon a temple with tortured souls. Upon further exploration, you find a room with a special flower - a marigold of souls.
Throwing the marigold frees the tortured souls within, however with a cost. The more you use the marigold, the more you feel like you are from the dead.
Escape the temple and free tortured souls, or be a part of the dead!
Gameplay is like Hades meets Journey of the Prairie King

Nice game! When the wall started moving/rotating it was a very cool moment. I wish my character got strong a bit quicker but I had fun.
Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed that mechanic :D
Great feedback. I should've maybe designed it with a mindset where people wouldn't be spending quite a bit of time playing (since this is a game jam)
Re reading your comment, do you mean one of the rooms was literally rotating? Because I just encountered this bug now
Yes, I thought it was intentional haha
Oh haha it actually wasn't but I am glad you enjoyed it nonetheless! Thinking about it now, it would've been a pretty cool unique twist if it works properly.
I hope you were able to at least progress to the next room
